About WeaveSutra
Our belief
India’s handlooms don’t need reinvention—they need a clear path from loom to you. WeaveSutra is a weaver-direct label that brings small-batch sarees from artisan families to modern wardrobes, with fair pay, honest storytelling, and zero middleman drama.
What we do
We source from different craft clusters, commission small lots, and publish each saree’s story with care and clarity—weave, yarn, dye, and how to look after it. Every piece is photographed true-to-color, QC’d twice, and shipped pan-India with easy returns.
Where we weave (and who we learn from):
Maheshwar (Maheshwari & Induri designs) • Chanderi • Kota(Kota Doria) • Ajrakhpur (Ajrakh) • Pochampally (Ikat) • Mangalagiri • Gadwal • Banarasi • Paithani • Kantha
How we work (simple, fair, transparent)
-
Direct & small-batch: We buy from weavers/co-ops and keep runs limited so quality stays high and inventories stay honest.
-
Fair pay upfront: Pricing starts with a living craft wage, then we add only what it takes to ship, serve, and sustain.
-
Materials made clear: Warp/weft counts, dye info (including natural/azo-free for Ajrakh), and real fabric behavior.
-
Care that preserves: Practical care cards in every box; fall/pico options; blouse suggestions on request.
-
Customer-first ops: Pan-India delivery, COD, and easy 7-day returns on unused items.
Why it matters
Every saree sold keeps looms working, skills alive, and artisan families confident about tomorrow. When you wear WeaveSutra, you’re not just buying a label—you’re keeping an ancient tradition alive.
What to expect from us
-
Authenticity: Handloom variations—tiny slubs, shade play—are features, not flaws.
-
Consistency: Thoughtful curation instead of endless listings.
-
Responsiveness: WhatsApp styling help, quick shipping updates, and real humans when you need them.
- Uniqueness: Each saree that we source is unique and we do not have multiples of each saree. Different colours for the same pattern may be available.
Our promise
Craft first. People first. We will always tell you what a piece is, where it’s from, how it’s made, and how to make it last.
